I had the mirena coil fitted last Tuesday. It was extremely painful, and the doctor had a lot of difficulty getting my cervix open. I had a non-hormone coil fitted several years ago after the birth of my DS, and I don't remember it being at all painful, so I was surprised at how bad the experience was. Afterwards I was very shaken and couldn't stand up for about half an hour.
The thing is, although for a couple of days after this I had pain like a really, really bad period, and still feel quite bloated, except for a little spotting the first day, I have had no bleeding at all since. Is this ok???
