The Pill - potential stupid question...

My GP has put me on Cerazette for other medical issues. I have never been on the pill before and I'm in my 30's.
When you are on the pill do you still have a period as "normal". I have seen some other threads saying that they've not had a period for years?

cerazette is a mini-pill and has to be taken every day (it doesnt contain oestrogen like the combined pill). The mini-pill can make periods unpredictable so you may have lots of bleeding, breakthrough bleeding, normal periods on no bleeding at all (I didnt have a proper period for about 3 years on it)

MY GP told me when she put me on this that lots of women have no periods at all on this. I haven't had one yet, but I am still bf so don't know what is going on!

I went on it when breastfeeding DS. Didn't have a period for 9 months and then bled heavily for 10 full weeks :(

Not sure if it was 100% due to the pill or if it was that + a mix a bfing hormones.
