mirena coil inserted yesterday......upper back pain?

I had mirena coil inserted yesterday by my gp. I had some tummy cramps and lower back pain yesterday which im sure is quite normal. This afternoon i have developed some upper back pain. It seems muscular in nature. Could this be due to mirena??? Or maybe its just a result of being so tense at gp yesterday as it was difficult enough for her to get in! jua woried and prob pranoid!

I suspect it might be the fact you were tense. I never had high back pain when it was inserted

Yes i think so, its much improved today :). Just feel like I've done a major aerobic workout and I havent! It took about 20 mins to put in and I was tense the whole time. Just started to panic yesterday wondering if my body was reacting to it.....but I think that was just nerves! I hope it works for me as I have read some horror stories but also some very positive ones so fingers crossed, Thanks for reassureance!
