hi there im new to all this :) i have had a merina coil fitted 6 weeks ago for heavy periods as well as contraception! indeed it has stopped the heavy period every month but i have instead a constant bleed, its not heavy but its alwasy there and it is foul smelling sorry for the detail
has anyone else had this?

I am now 8 months post mirena fitting and it has finally settled down. It is worth (a) making a note of your flow so that you can (b) see a GP about it with data.

The smell makes me think you should see a GP sooner than later though

I agree about seeing your GP - uterine infections are quite common with coils which could be the cause of the smell.

girls will see gp asap!
