Copper coil - bleeding after 6 weeks

Hi, I had a copper coil fitted about 6 weeks ago. Everything ok and had my first period after fitting without too much trouble. Now onto my second period which arrived a week early and have now been bleeding heavily for 7 days. No real pain, although I keep getting a dull ache in my right side. Is this usual? Beginning to feel like I can't function properly - really tired, irritable, etc. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was going to ask a similar question. I had a coil fitted two weeks ago and have had low level bleeding ever since.

I had the copper coil fitted nearly 2 weeks ago. I had the implant taken out on the same day. I found it very painful (put me in bed for the day) and had the heaviest bleeding i've ever experienced. I came off after 7 days then 2 days later i am bleeding again with cramps in my tummy. I have always had light periods with no pain at all so to me this is completely alien! Is this normal to come back on so soon?!? Any advice will be greatly received xx
