Period pain but it's late

Dh had vasectomy in aug and sent off his test in nov. He needs to get his second test next month but wasn't told it hadnt worked. We both had our work nights out on 16th dec and ended up having unprotected sex as we were both tipsy and totally forgot about condom.
Anyway my period was due on Xmas eve and still hasn't arrived even tho I am getting normal period type pains. My kids are 11 and 8 and really not wanting another. Am I worrying too much or should I be buying a test :(

Are your periods regular normally?

Hi again, well I ended up getting a test today and it's negative. Still getting pains but still no sign. I am 40 and was told I had to come off the pill in july as i get migraines and theres a link to strokes apparently so dh and i decided vasectomy was the way to go. Periods are normally around 28 to 32 days cycles ish so this is the longest. It was a 2 test pack so if nothing I will test again in a week. Feeling more relieved but would be happier if period arrived! Still worrying a bit
