I have had the nexplanon implant in for 3 months now. No problems initially then stopped breastfeeding a month later. My period started about a month ago, very light initially but for the past 2 weeks it has been heavy....sometimes rediculously heavy. I know it can take up to a year for things to settle down, and this was explained at the time. I daftly thought i would be one of the lucky ones!
My husband is very patient but is getting twitchy and i am already getting pretty fed up!
I was on cerazette prior to ds2 with no problems or periods at all, but kept forgetting to take it after, and wanted something more long term. Any experiences or alternatives would be gratefully received!

I had the Implant inserted mid-Jan this year and it's been fine some days and not others...I will wait the six months though and see how things go from there. If it hasn't improved I will get the combined pill to take alongside it (as recommended by FP nurse at the clinic). I'm basically getting bleeding (spotting) every day since my first period on the Implant. It's just annoying, tbh. And I try to weigh that up with having a 3rd child (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!) so I'm going to tolerate the inconvenience of the side effects til June and review it then.

Hope you're having an easier time of it now since last year!
