First time using Persona - Red light on day 6?!

Using Persona for the first time this month, mainly because we would like to TTC soon.

I'm on cycle day 6 which is the first test you do on the first month when it asks for 2 packets worth of tests. I was expecting day 6 to be a green light after testing as I assumed it was just reading what my base level for a non fertile day was, and the red days would come later? But it's definitely red. Is that normal?

On thefirst month it is just gathering data. Iirc it always errs on side of caution so lots of red days

As Olivia says, if your cycle is very regular, the red days get fewer and fewer as the months go by. It does tend to make a lot of days red until it can be sure, so just bear with it for now.

yes the first month it leaves more red days because it is getting to know your cycle.
when it knows your cycle and when usually you ovulate the red days will become much less.

Thanks everyone! Glad to know it's not broken! I've just brought some ovulation strips to double check things.
