Copper coil - diarrohea? TMI

I had a copper coil inserted 2 weeks ago. Since then I have had some bleeding/pain not much pretty much what I expected, but also my bowels are really loose and the whole world seems to fall out of my bottom every morning.

Anyone else? And if so when will it stop?

Oh dear - poor you!

No idea, but there are various diarrhoea viruses doing the rounds, which can relapse (if you've already had it earlier in the season) - any chance that it's one of those and the timing is coincidental?

Interesting about the bleeding/pain. I had one fitted two days ago and have had a bit of this and started a thread about it. It wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest if I hadn't been assured by GP that this wouldn't happen. Sometimes I think she's away with the fairies - she herself has said she's a sleep-deprived mum :o

No, no previous diarrhoea. It's only happened since the coil went in.

I take all GP advice with a pinch of salt, I think that they only tell you the best case scenario. Of course if you go on the internet you will find the apocalypse so I think it balances out.
