Have posted this in two sections as am really anally retentive keen for help! In Sept/Oct (ish) I came off my pill (Microgynon)...I am not 100% sure of the timeframe as just used them up, and had quite a few packs! This was for no other reason than I was sick of being on it (have been since I was 17, am now 31) felt I should give my body a 'break', and as I planned to ttc sometime in 2011. In late Nov/early Dec, was prescribed Citalopram for anxiety - this will be my 4th time taking SSRI's in last 10 years, but, as DH pointed out, the 1st time I've taken them without also taking the pill simultaneously.
Weirdly, since Jan my periods have totally vanished. Prior to that, I was having one every month, although a bit irregular re start date since I came off the pill. I've now done 4 x pregnancy tests, all negative, and am starting to worry a bit: as I say, we do want to ttc later this year, and am keeping myself awake with all kinds of thoughts about early menopause etc!
My mum has hypothyroidism, and some yrs ago I was told I had the antibodies for pernicious anaemia - not sure if these might be possible factors...?

You've been on the pill almost your entire adult life - it's not really surprising that your body is taking time to adjust. Do you remember what your periods were like before you went on the pill? You might just not be naturally very regular which would have been masked by being on the pill. I remember keeping a diary when I was a teenager and there used to be anything from 21 days to 60ish days between the starts of my periods. You could also be making your period late by stressing out about it.
