Hi all,

Sorry if you have all heard this before but I have just found out i have endo and a PCO, My husband and I would really have liked to start trying for a baby in the summer but now feel the option has been ripped away from us. I already have a DD(7) from a previous relationship and my husband adores her more than anything but has also really longs for a child to call him Daddy one day and with finding out I have these conditions our options are slowly closing in around us and we would just like some advice on what we can do.

Thanks so much

Hi Caitsmum,
I have endo and PCOS too. It doesn't always mean infertility just reduced fertility. Have you started looking at options yet?

I have endo and DH has problems. We were told IVF was our only option. I conceived DS 3 weeks before we were due to start (after 3 years of trying) then conceived DD on the first attempt.

It doesn't have to mean that you can't have children and they fact that you have one is very much in your favour. It may be more difficult but you managed it before.

My doctor said endo is far more common that we realise but as some women don't get symptoms, they never know they have it.

Good luck. Smile

My mum had endo and had 3 succesful pregnancies.
Hope you don't mind my asking but was it the fact that you were having difficulty conceiving that made them test you for it (presumably you had a laparoscopy?) My mum and I have always suspected that I have endo, I suffer terribly with heavy, painful periods, at one point I was on 3 kinds of meds for them and I have various other issues which I'm sure are linked. My GP admitted that my symptoms did fit but that they would only test me for it if I had problems conceiving, which I haven't. But then nor did my mother, so I'm assuming that infertility isn't a definate symptom.
Hope it all goes well for you :)

I have endo and PCOS, had a few months treatment with clomid and conceived our DD. See a gynaecologist/fertility consultant and get loads of advice, it's definately not the end of the road. Lots of luck x

I have endo and PCOS too, I conceived naturally just 2 months before starting a course of clomid after trying for 12 months. I am now 20 weeks pg.
Don't give up hope. I too was devastated and thought we would have to save up for years for IVF, unlikely that we would get anything on NHS due to our age (23/24).
I found taking charge of my diet and sticking to low GI foods very strictly helped me, also helped manage my acne to some extent.

Good luck
