Postpartum: period returned but only once?

hi there, been worried about my period for a few days now.. My period returned 10 days before DS's first birthday.. I'm still breastfeeding a bit, which is why it was so (relatively) late.

However I've only had the ONE period, 36 days ago, and still no sign of any more. Now my periods were often irregular before pregnancy, but even then 36 days or more was a rare occasion. I mean, RARE. Chances I could be pregnant again are almost zero. (I did get a pg test to be on safe side tho, will do it t'row morn).

just wondering, has anyone else had dodgy periods while breastfeeding?

My periods stopped while I was BFing and only returned a couple of months after I stopped.

And when they did come back, they were not on the same cycle that they had been before I was pregnant (all very confusing).

If you are sure you are not pregnant, I'd give it a couple more weeks to see if your period turns up. If you are still worried after that, then maybe a trip to the doctor?

Yes I normally have a 7day period and a 26 day cycle but ATM while bf I am having a 10 day period and a 8week cycle. Same happened after my little boy HTH DD is 14 months this will probably stop when she is about 2 at least it did last time.
