Sorry, another thread about Mirena, but mine is driving me crazy.
I've had it for 15 months now, with very few problems. I got it mainly to help heavy periods, and also for contraception - really thought it would be the answer to all my woes!!
Recently though, I've just not been feeling good, v moody, some pains, lots of nausea, and this month I've started bleeding a week before AF was due, and it's v wierd. It's a gush of bright red fresh blood when I get up in the morning, or after walking of exercise, then brown old blood, then it stops, then starts again. This has been happening for a week, and I'm convinced it's not AF, as I got the usually grumpiness associated with that in the last couple of days.
I can still feel the strings and have made an appointment with the doc to have it checked, but just feel I've lost confidence in it. I don't want to do anything rash though and have it out, as I'd hate to have the awful periods again.
