Guide/Beaver/Rainbow/Scout Leaders etc

I am organising a trip to the pantomime at Christmas for ds' class. This is year 2. The tickets have just become available, so I've reserved 45 tickets, now I'm having a panic as to whether I need more.

When I've been to the pantomime there are always groups of rainbows, beavers, brownies, guides etc in the audience, so I thought one of you knowledgable lot may of been there and done this.

My question is there are 32 children, is 13 adult tickets enough? Do parents usually want to come to?

We usually book about 50 seats, with 2 adults per unit. So 2 to every 10 child seat. There are never any adult seats spare after closing date for payment. If there are any child seats available, we offer them to siblings.

DD's Brownie group always goes to panto and parents are not asked nor expected to go.

I often go the same night with my DSs but most people welcome an evening off! I think Brown Owl has the usual numbe rof helpers - ie 4 of them I think to about 24 Brownies?

Sorry just read post proparly and I see you are talking about a school trip? I assume there are prescribed numbers of adults ut it cannot possibly be anything like 1 adult to 3 children so I am sure you will be fine.

DS2 went to a big dance show he was in this week and there were 2 teachers and maybe 4 parent helpers, to deal with about 20-24 DC.

Oh btw, I think 13 adult seats is plenty. That's almost 1 adult to 2 child. That's more than enough imho!

Thank you for your responses. It's not a school trip per se, as in not organised by the school. My intention is to have 8 adults, and any spare tickets offer as first come first serve to siblings.

Then wondered if parents would come. But seems not to be the case. That's all good then.

Lovely of you to do that then. I would think a lot of parents, would be glad of a night off! I have to say, I can't stand panto, but as a Guider, I don't have a choice!

I secretly rather enjoy panto although I will of course say that I am doing this out of kindness. My ds particularly enjoys the slapstick of panto.
