Karate or Ju Jitsu?

Does anyone have any experience of either of these. My local leisure centre has classes for both and i can't decide which to send my DS too. Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks

My DCs (10 and 8) do karate but I have no experience of ju jitsu so can't compare the two. But both my DCs enjoy their karate and it has been particularly beneficial for DS (who is now a black belt [proud mother emoticon]) and has earned real kudos within his school, going from being regarded as geeky oddball to someone who is 'well cool' (his words). DD is not so enthusiastic but is doing well and enjoys the physical side too.

Any martial art is great for balance, co-ordination and discipline. Perhaps you could try your DS at a class at each and see which he prefers.

Oh, i like that idea. Might contact the leisure centre and see if that can be arranged.
Thanks
