BYMT Productions/Camps 2026

No offence intended to those on the NYMT/BYMT thread, but as there are so many productions, workshops, courses and camps I thought I’d set up a separate thread just for BYMT.

I believe the first round offers came out this week, but don’t give up if any DC didn’t get an offer this time. Many get places in the second, third or maybe even fourth rounds. The camps are also really good fun and could be a stepping stone to a production in 2027, as well as entitling the DC to take part in the fabulous Christmas concert in London.

Looking forward to hearing how all the DCs get on this year!

My daughter auditioned for the first time for BYMT this year. She absolutely loved the audition and team. We then received a lovely email saying that she's not received a first-stage offer but has been shortlisted for second-stage offers mid-March. The email did say lots of auditionees get offers at the second stage. (She is early teens to maybe a trickier age, too.)

This is her first time auditioning and I just wondered if anyone knows how likely it is she will receive an offer or is there no way at all of knowing. I'm just thinking in terms of planning holidays, etc. really!!

@RubyRosa That’s fabulous news! If you’ve been told DD’s been shortlisted it sounds as though there’s a high chance she’ll get a place in the second round. I wouldn’t book any holidays just yet! They try to include a range of different ages in each production, so being early teens isn’t a disadvantage.

Also when you get the offer doesn’t affecting casting. My DD was wait list not getting her production details till shortly before the first meet and greet online. She ended up with the female lead.

My DD got an offer for the Easter production. We just got the full details through last night. Very exciting. But also first time away from home for her and we are travelling from Ireland so quite a big deal for her.

My DC did an online audition (not ideal but enjoyable for them) and was not offered anything but email said "While we are sadly unable to make you an offer at this point, we would still love to consider you for the next stage of offers."
This doesn't sound like shortlisted does it? We've not done BYMT before.

@Pollypocket81 - we received the same email yesterday. We went back asking if it's likely our DC would be offered a role in the Easter production and we were told it's unlikely, which we're OK with because the summer productions would work better for us. It's our first time auditioning for BYMT and the waiting has been unbearable but we've received updates from BYMT earlier than expected so I'm hoping it will only be a couple of weeks before we know one way or another.
