So with the big reveal of the 50th anniversary programme it feels like a good time to start the 2026 chat!

Hello, I have 2 stalls tickets for Everyday that I can’t use now. Would anyone like them?

If anyone has any tickets to NYMT WSS on Saturday 8th evening, please could you let me buy them from you? I have tickets for the matine but realised my DD can’t get home after the evening show as the last train from Birmingham to London leaves at 2206!

Ps they’re for the matinee on Sat 22 August.

Just to say BREAK A LEG to all the West Side Story company members! I'm watching on Sat and really looking forward to it.

WSS was fab. Very short notice but I’ve 2 free tickets for the matinee today if anyone wants them you are welcome to them.

Well I was blown away by West Side Story. Absolutely incredible. Just wow.

WSS was absolutely amazing. I’m the proudest mum in the world. We got to
meet Rupert Hands and George Beet (fangirling all the way!!) and both were so lovely. Best one yet! Congratulations to every single person involved

Yes. Absolutely agree. It was phenomenal! We loved it! Congratulations to everyone involved. Cannot believe they pulled that off in under 3 weeks…..

WSS was beyond good - it was incredible! I was so so impressed. So much talent - from the musicians, to the dancers, the singers, the creative sets and lighting, the choreography - all amazing. How long did the dancers have to practise?

The cast did about 6 days at Easter. Then back in July for a weeks rehearsal. Then moved to the theatre late Monday night to start tech rehearsals which continued into Tuesday. Dress rehearsals weds and open Thursday! It’s a lot to get through especially with such amazing choreography etc so they have long days and work really hard but love every minute. My jet slept most of today but that could’ve been the after show partying on Saturday night lol.

Wow - they did all that in 3 weeks?! I'm in awe. 😮

Also blown away by WSS. Best version i have seen! Does anyone know why there are no reviews of the nymt shows this year?

They will have started at Easter when they had a 6 day residential, and then this summer they had 9 days before moving to Birmingham for tech and dress runs.
And some of the Shark boys only arrived on summer. Absolutely phenomenal, wasn't it?

The shark boys who joined were just brilliant. The boys over from Columbia were just an absolute joy to watch and so lovely in person. The shark boys started rehearsing on the Friday to following Saturday . The rest of the cast arrived for 2pm Sat start and finished at 4 the following Saturday so just a week not 9 days for this one.

I know the musicians only had 6 days of rehearsals and then straight to production week. Bernstein's score is fiendishly difficult so it's really impressive and remarkable they did this so well in such a short time!

I still can’t get over that they had people from Columbia especially!
It was an AMAZING performance- as good as anything I have seen in the West End. So much talent!

And they sounded glorious!
