Cheerleading

DD (12) wants to join the gymnastics club at school but it clashes with a non-school based club we've already booked and paid for. The school also offers a cheerleading club on another night. We're in the UK and I have no experience of cheerleading - what goes on at a cheerleading club and would it be a decent alternative to gymnastics for a beginner? I'm trying to encourage her to do something active but she doesn't really like team sports like football.

My daughter does cheer at a club and it is a mix of dance, tumbling (floor gymnastics ) and stunting. She used to dance and do gymnastics so its a great combination for her.

My dd started cheer after five years of gymnastics. I know her coach will only allow people with certain skills to try out. I know nothing about beginners. I guess you should ask the coach directly.

Thanks 😁 All abilities welcome apparently so I'll suggest it as an option to DD.
