Please recommend me a creative writing course

I am a sahm and I need something to activate my brain again. There’s loads online and I don’t have a clue where to start. I just need something to give me a kick up the arse that says “write a story about x this week”. I used to love writing short stories but since having kids I struggle to form cohesive paragraphs never mind stories.

Not quite what you're looking for but the Arvon residential courses are amazing (though pricey 😬) - I've done one as a gift a few years ago and want to save up and do another. They do have a lot of resources on their website on the writers hub so you could access those independently!

Faber do some good courses that are not too expensive.

Foxes retreat also, and online writing sessions.

Opeen University have 2 great creative writing courses, not sure if you can take them as standalone rather than as part of a degree though.
