Scout uniform sizing

DD(11) has just joined Scouts. She's quite small for her age though (wears 9-10 clothes). The smallest Scout uniform available is 29" chest. Does anyone know how this sizes up please?
We've just bought her school uniform for September and the 28" blazer is absolutely massive on her so I'm not holding out much hope that the Scout blouse will fitConfused

Our DS has just started, he's 10 and skinny - the small is massive on him. However, everyone else is just the same - you don't want to have to re-sew the badges on when they grow, so you want 1 shirt to last them through scouts.

Once they've rolled the sleeves up and tucked into trousers they look ok.

They all have huge shirts to begin with! DS is about to leave Scouts and his shirt still fits him (just) - definitely preferable to re-sewing badges just to make sure they have a properly fitting shirt all the time.

Unless you want to be cutting and reseeding badges on another shirt in 2 years time go for the largest size she is comfortable with.

What everyone else said. You want to buy HUGE so it lasts until they are 14 and you don't have to replace, and sew all her badges on again.

My DD who is a skinny but tall 12 yr old started in a ladies size 10 as the ladies sizes are quite short compared to the mens Hmm
