Any idea for the activities for the coming summer term break? And where can found the information?

I am no clue on this, just don't want the kids watch the TV for all day.

Many thanks🙏🏻

I am in the same situation. DS graduated from Year 11 and I do not have a clue what to do with him. Any ideas where can I work experience him for a month or so?

BunnyRuddington · 09/06/2021 19:27

@rednaltou can he get a job rather than work experience?

Geocaching?

Gives a purpose to a walk - bit like a treasure hunt, and you use a phone to do it which kids like.

I like the c:geo app to actually go out and about - you can link it to you account on the geocaching website. No need to pay for premium membership unless you really get into it.

Where in the country?

For those in the east Midlands, Walesby Forest Scout Camp is open to the public... Day pass is £15 for activities (different ones available each day but there's rafting, climbing, canoeing, archery, caving, axe throwing, abseiling, kayaking.. all sorts)

@CrazyMun @rednaltou This is in London and looks pretty great for drama/performer/funny kids: "Elf Lyons's Clown Club: Inspiring the Silly"

You are best off asking on your local Facebook pages as to what is available in your area.

Why not encourage you DCs to take part in our Wildlife Photography Competition - hours of entertainment taking pictures, then selecting their favourites and researching and writing captions - and its educational too.
Standard entry for under 18s is £5, there are lots of prizes on offer including Gorilla pods from Joby and all proceeds go to conservation charity Wildlife Vets International
You don't even need a camera to take part - you can submit pictures taken on your phone too - in fact theres a special category just for them
