Club Swimming!!!

So the kids might finally be getting back to club swimming in April! Yeeeeeeey!! Will be one very happy boy in this house soon!

Do you think that galas might consider switching to 'age in day' rather than age group for the next few years, to make it fairer on everyone as they play catch up?

(Probably v unlikely! But just wondered people's thoughts! I have a December born here!!)

Hopefully happy children in my house in April too! It has been a tough year for swimmers.

I can’t see it changing due to current circumstances, i am not sure how it would make it fairer, though I wonder if counties will need to adjust QTs to reflect swimmers not progressing as they would with so much time off. Also in my experience a lot of open meets are age on day normally anyway, it is just counties and above that aren’t (plus Arena league)

I sympathise though, my eldest is late October and gets frustrated by age at 31 December!
