Music Exams November/December

Hi, my ds sat grade 1 piano on 19th and the results still aren’t back. Is this unusual? When my dd sat her exam in summer sitting her result was out 8 days later. Just seems a long time!

They can take anywhere between a week and 4 weeks ( and possibly even longer, if the mark sheets need to be moderated).
ABRSM have a list of dates for results,dependent on which week the exam was taken, on their website.

Thank you! Yes I’ve seen the dates. Was just surprised as last time it was 8 days, and also 8 days for another poster on here.

I think ours took about 2 weeks to come through in the summer - maybe a bit longer . Hopefully soon

I am waiting on results from 21st.. been checking every day (in the summer they only took 8 days so was hoping for the same!). Think the week of 19th results can take any time up to 14th Dec! Abrsm are usually v prompt though so sure we will hear soon

I have been entering students for 20 years. Fastest ever results took 8 days, and the slowest took 31 days. Average is about 2.5 weeks.

Waiting for a theory result from November 6th. If it’s four weeks that’d be this coming Tuesday which is the same day as dd is going for an advisory audition at a specialist school!

Results came today :)
