Singing grading question - theory question

If you are doing a grading and you sing a song in a different key to the original sheet music - on which version do you answer your theory exams on - will it be on the original sheet music or on what you actually sing? Is there a difference if you provide the original sheet music to the examiner but sing in a different key. Thanks very much.

Which examining board and which grade?

Does it make a difference?

ABRSM don't have a section for music/theory knowledge in their graded exams. Trinity give you the choice of two out of four skills (sightsinging, musical knowledge, aural and improvisation). LCM have this section.

Actually, thinking about it, the examiner would want you to answer questions on what is in front of him. So say the song is in F# Minor but you sing it in E minor with the accompanist transposing from the printed music in the exam, then the sheetmusic you are singing from is in F# Minor and so you would have to provide the answers in F# Minor.
