Hi - can anyone recommend a summer music course appropriate for 2 17 year old girls (end of yr 13) - one Oboe and one Trombone (so orchestra or wind band) - both well past grade 8.

thanks.

I can't recommend any in particular, but here's a list to help.

I attended Music Camp as a teenager - year after year after year as it was so good!

The camps are still going after 48 years! They're residential, in tents, for a week in the summer.

More info here - stables.org/learning/national-youth-music-camps

I can't recommend it enough!

thanks all.

We have to avoid the week with 16th August as they get their A level results that day and one of them will be 18 on July 31st so that limits options as well but I think I've found a few that might suit so up to them to get it sorted now.

Yorkshire Young Sinfonia desperate for oboes again this year I think - DD would do it but she's still away with school (also Grade 8+). Guildhall run a wonderful advanced oboe course but travel to London a bit of a pain (depends where you live).
