Casting agencies

hi all, wanted to see which casting agent you recommend. we are currently with Mark Jermin. they are nice enough (on the scale for casting agents), but i am not sure what is to be expected in this industry and therefore who the good agents are.

invites to castings have been few and far between during the year we've been with them. probably 10 or so invites for my younger daughter and maybe 6 for elder one. nothing mind-blowing - mainly commercials. youngest had two interesting castings but nothing for eldest.

only one of the two had a 'job' on scene but that's more their own performance rather than the agent's job, so no issues there.

Mark Jermin has a good reputation but is large with a lot of children on their books, which may not be what you prefer in an agency. The sort of agent that suits you best will depend on factors like geographical location, the age of your child, and what sort of professional work your child wants to do. The forum notapushymum.com is a good source of advice and information on a variety of different agencies.

(Btw there is no such thing as a "casting agent". Management agents represent performers and submit them for castings and auditions. Casting directors work for a production to source and cast performers.)
