Music courses over the summer

Does anyone know of/recommend summer (maybe residential) music courses for a 9 year old grade 4 violin? Something with orchestral/string group playing but fun stuff as well?

Thanks!!

Do the NCO have any places left? I think they had spaces for a few instruments.

Whereabouts are you in the country? Gloucester Academy of Music runs residential summer courses with an emphasis on strings. Also Cotswold Music Tutors have courses.

London based but happy to consider residential! Will call the nco but would be amazed if they haven't filled the violin sections!!!

Pro Corda is fabulous.

Nco courses all full and there are waiting lists for instruments like violin unfortunately. I don't know of any other summer courses I'm afraid.

Oh, I was told under 10s still had places. Must have filled them!

IslaSinga · 11/04/2016 14:16

Did you hear there were places for violin? They usually have places for violia and other undersubscribed instruments, but violin and cello are usually very full with waiting lists.

Sorry- just double-checked, and it was viola.
