It will depend a lot on the local leaders and groups. The best Scouting groups will be brilliant, but if they have lacklustre leaders and an unambitious programme, then a good Boys Brigade group with enthusiastic, energetic and outdoor-focused leaders and activities might be better IYSWIM?
