IDTA ballet exams

I just wondered if anybody knows how the exams worked. I know, for example, that RAD is pass, merit or distinction.

Also does anybody know if there are minimum age requirements for the exams at different grades?

Alignment,

For regular graded exams, the 'old' mark boundaries for IDTA were:
Pass (65-74 %)

Commended (75-79 %)

Highly Commended (80-84%)
Honours (85% +)

There seems to have been a move towards:
Distinction (85% and above)
Merit (75-84%)
Pass (65-74%)

at least with the 'theatre' subjects.

Agree with Julie about marks.

As to age, as a guide I think they are meant to be 6 to take Primary, however we have a few that take it at 5. There are disadvantages to this though, and last November an examiner commented that some of the children were too young and didnt give them distinctions.

Thank you both. Flowers That's very interesting.
