Chets music course during half term

My DS1 will start Chets this September. Can anybody tell me (quicker than chets) what's the rule about the half term music course, whether you are involved or not. Our local town hall and another event want to book him on that October weekend, supposed to be half term. I don't know whether he can come back or not.

Hi. The music course isn't part of the half term holiday, it's the last 7 days or so of the first half of the Autumn term. It does depend upon the instrument and age of your child as to how long they will be involved and what concerts they will be playing in. You need to talk to Chets - but generally speaking you will not be able to take your child out of school during music course no matter what the reason will be.

Do check about half term dates as last year Manchester & Cheshire had different half term weeks to other surrounding areas such as Stockport, Staffordshire & Birmingham.

I found out my Ds1 won't go to the course. But still has question:
I found the course start from 17th OCT,2014,lessons restart from 2rd Nov, nowhere says half term. Followed current term's detailed date, like 7th Feb, it says when music course started, half term for non-participants.
Does that mean if we don't go to music course, we have half term from 17th Oct to 2nd Nov??Really??

It's common for private school )which is essentially what Cherhams is) to have 2 week half terms.

For example, Manchester Grammar have a 2 week half term in the autumn.

You are absolutely right, we will have two weeks half term. Brilliant!
