Hello. I am a supply teacher in primary schools. Sometimes, when the children have been cooped up or sitting still for a long time and need to get active before they can refocus, I get the class to do some exercise activity for five or ten minutes between demanding lessons or for a golden time activity at the end of the day (as a reward). I would really love to find a good dance dvd for children or clips on youtube which we could use. The children love dance, but all the ones I have found, even the ones which purport to be for children, seem to be unsuitable and sexual in content. I even bought one from Early Learning Centre once but, although the lyrics of the songs were not sexual, they had quite unnecessarily chosen to clothe the dancers in Hawian bikini - type things which had the six years I briefly tried it with, exclaiming! Does anyone know of an exercise/dance dvd which would just be purely good fun without being remotely offensive, please? Demonstrators wearing clothes that cover up more than the very barest of essentials and not making movements or dancing to sounds suggestive of sex? I am still looking ... There is a market ...
