Learning animation

DS1 is really getting in to this with his Lego figures and he is getting a webcam and software for Xmas hopefully.

I would also like to get him a beginners guide to animation aimed at kids - he is 11 yrs old.

Anyone any ideas or has a child who is into this as well?

Thanks in advance.

You've probably bought something already, but how about animation with plasticine? These look good:

www.amazon.co.uk/Drumond-Park-1240-Animatation-Animatazz/dp/B003NUT3BQ/ref=pd_sim_b_3 - considered this one when my kids got interested in animation via a make your own Morph gift set

www.amazon.co.uk/Cracking-Animation-Aardman-Book-3-D/dp/0500289069/ref=pd_sim_sw_h__3 - which I'd have probably gone with since I love Aardman animations

www.amazon.co.uk/Klutz-Book-Animation-John-Cassiday/dp/1591747333/ref=pd_sim_sw_h__1 - Klutz books are brill so I imagine this would be too
