Bit worried about ds1 at Beavers

He started last week, and said he enjoyed it. Went again this week and he said that he still hasnt made friends with anyone and none of the boys speak to him and that Grey Beaver got some of the girls to sit with him because he was on his own.

hes a very sociable boy who makes friends easily so am quite shocked by this.
Im not sure if all the boys at this Beavers go to the same school so know each other. There are no boys or girls from ds's school at this beavers.
He said he still wants to go and enjoys it, but the thought of him playing on his own just breaks my heart (am very PFB about my 1st boy ).

dh wants to stop him going and get him in a different group, I dont know what to think

Give him a chance! If you think of it in terms of time spent there, it is only maybe and hour and half per session. My DS1 loves beavers and I am sure your DS will too once he has settled in.

Give it a while. My DS knew one other boy when he started and now he is always saying hello to random boys in town who I don't recognise. He loves Beavers and I think it says a great deal for your son that he is enjoying it and does not want to give up.

Are you serious - thinking of moving him just because he's not made friends in 2 sessions...!? Give him a chance!

More importantly, he says he enjoys it - Isn't that the main thing....

yes youre all right, but I just worry about him so much he told me last night that he didnt want me to leave and thats so unlike him.
I am taking part in the trip next week so hopefully will be able to see how he gets on myself
