Just curious what other people do?

How many hours a week do you exercise and what kind of things are you doing?

Last week I did what felt like a lot and just want to check I am in the realms of normal and not getting some kind of addiction going on.

So HIIT - 2.30
Strength and conditioning - 3.30
Heavy resistance - 2

Total 8 hours of exercise.

This week is looking pretty much the same too except an extra hour of strength and conditioning so 9 hours total.

About 7 hours.

This is made up of 5 hours a week cycling (this is my commute to work)
Then I will bolt on a 10 minute Joe Wicks ab session 2-3 times a week when I get home.
1-2 gym sessions a week where I mainly do resistance stuff
And a 30 minute run outdoors most weekends.

3.5 hours of classes a week: Pump, Combat Bodybalance, Grit.

Dog walks on top of this.

Some of the replies on this thread are actually in the realms of the dangerous unless people are in training for events.

@HIITPrincess That is excellent advise, thank you for sharing your experience with me. So sorry you have suffered through long covid, it is so unpredictable isn't it.

It is. I felt so good for a few days after I recovered. The last week or so of the initial illness was very 1 step forward 2 steps back. So when I first got better I was suspicious and determined to take it easy and rest just in case. But after a few days I just felt absolutely great. I was buzzing with energy and just felt completely and utterly my normal self. So by the next day I just got on with things, did loads of jobs that I'd neglected while sick. I did loads and loads of stuff with DS, lots of heavy lifting and cadio. I was on the go all day long. I knew by bedtime that I was in trouble as I was finding it harder and harder to breathe but at that point I though it would just last a few more days. It was nearly 3 months before I was able to get back to anything like normal.

And throughout that time there was so much speculation about if the illness was chronic or caused permanent reoccurrence, so it was mentally very difficult too. So at least you know that it's not chronic. Rest well, ease back into exercise carefully, and let you immune system get back to normal after dealing with a chronic illness.
