Trail shoes - recommendations please

Road shoes are Saucony - they’re my second pair of this brand and I quite like them!

I currently have a pair of cheap Nikes as I rarely run trails, but over the summer will be doing a lot more off road so need a decent pair.

I have tried Ons and didn’t like them. Asics never fit my wide feet.

I’ve looked online at Saucony Koa - would love to hear any reviews! Or would I be better sticking to something more trail based like Salomon?

Sadly my local running shop only had Asics and Ons trails so I’m going to have to order online, try at home and return if they don’t fit. Not ideal....!

Thanks Smile

If it's improved as the day went on, that's a positive thing. When I had a fracture I got progressively worse, not better.

I swear by my Inov8 trail shoes and am reluctant to use any others now, but they are more 'natural' fit and don't have much cushioning so it depends what suits you (I like minimal road shoes too).

Someone i run with uses Inov8 too and swaps to put their own insole in.

Encouraged by the recommendations in this thread, I have bought some Saucony Peregrines.
I took them out for their first excursion last week and they're amazing (particularly compared to my previous pair, which just made my feet hurt!)
I was so pleased, I've booked a trail half! Now all I need is the rest of the kit Grin
