Hello, right having survived a ‘run everyday February’ it is time to set out my challenge for March.

So this month I am planning to continue to run every day, again length of time or distance is not important but I do want to improve. I am also pledging to run 1000 miles by the end of 2018! Only 938 miles to go Shock

For March I am also going to continue to stay away from processed biscuits, sweets and cakes but will allow myself homemade versions (which I will try to make as healthily as possible.)

Ok, my work here is done. What will you do for March?

How are you all getting on? I’m just back from my 10km which Strava counted as 9.9km but as I took exactly the same route as the last time I’m recording 10km regardless! I listened to a podcast this time instead of music which was much better. Slower than last time but still hard work. Blush

5km run in the rain this morning, just a couple of short runs planned for the weekend now. Have a good one folks Smile

Well done MyView.

Circuits last night and PT session this morning. Plus up and down the stairs God knows how many times today getting everything in order before we go away, and I've doubled my daily move goal. Leaving the house at 9am tomorrow, will I get a quick 20 mins on the treadmill...?

For my March challenge I've now done 1701 of 1925 minutes of exercise, so should smash it in plenty of time before the end of the month.

Also had my measurements redone at PT session (been about 2 months since last done). Body fat % come down, and all measurements reduced. So bring on the USA corn syrup in everything Grin. Have packed some resistance bands and 2 sets of exercise gear, so ready to keep up the good work...

Excellent, well done Carrie. Have you worked out a strategy for moving while travelling yet?

Have a love trip with lots of lovely we’ll deserved food!

I had a short run to kids martial arts class this morning. Mileage is done for the week so just a token effort tomorrow to keep the running streak.

ASDwife-how are you getting on? And everyone else that started out, are you still here?

Last run done, found it tough-too soon after stuffing my face with brunch. I’ll try not to do that again 🤢

Just a few days left to squeeze out what is left of the March challenge!

I was not feeling at all energetic today which was a pity since I was supposed to be running 10km! Anyway I dragged myself out and told my myself I was allowed to go at snail pace but I had to get it done.

I’m back now and feeling awesome, the sun was out and it wasn’t as difficult as I’d managed to convince myself it would be. Smile

Brilliant! You never regret it once you've got out the door Grin.

Was gutted - my watch went a bit weird with the time Difference so thought I was well off goal after my flight. Checked the next day and was only 20 cals off - ARGH! Oh well.

Only 60 mins of exercise left to meet my March challenge. Thought it would be easy, but ambling around sight seeing is great for steps, rubbish for raised heart rate minutes! A couple of brisk strolls after dinner should do it though.

Now in Orlando so will be hitting Disney hard over next few days..and then 3 days' recuperation at the beach, phew!

Hello, well I made it to the end-just spared you some daily updates for a few days. So I’ve done 5km, 6.4km, 10km and then 2.7km x 2 to round off the month.

I failed on the eating front but at least I’m burning it off!

That’s 59 days of running everyday and I plan to continue in April but without starting a thread about it!

Thank you to everyone who joined me with your own challenges and very well done to you all. It is so inspiring to read about all you have achieved. Halo

Enjoy eating those well deserved Easter eggs tomorrow.

Myview - I totally fell off the wagon this month but re-started today with a banging 7.5k in a great time! Also need to get back on the glowy skin water too! Maybe we can just continue this thread.

Asdwife · 02/04/2018 21:22

Tempted to go for a late night run so I don't let April slide too...will report back if I go!

Asdwife · 02/04/2018 22:43

4k in the bag!
@Myview2 are you still on your running streak?

Myview2 · 02/04/2018 23:03

Well done ASDwife! Yes I’m still on my running streak, did 5km this morning in a feeble attempt to undo some of the Easter chocolate binging!

pontiouspilates · 03/04/2018 07:51

Hello! Marcj was fitness wash out for me, but I'm in for April! Ran 5k on Sunday and did a 5
Mile walk yesterday. Am also doing some lower carbing in the hope of shifting a stone. Good luck everyone!

Asdwife · 03/04/2018 22:13

How did everyone get on today? I haven't fit a run in yet as it was a manic day but I'm quite tempted to go now. I've had too much caffeine this evening so won't sleep for a while anyway.

Myview2 · 03/04/2018 22:45

I dragged myself out in the rain earlier, just a short one but done. Go for it ASDwife!

I'm in for April. My Apple Watch challenge is to close all three rings for 30 days (that'll be every day this month then, Apple). That means moving for 12 hours of the day (a minimum of a minute every hour), elevating heart rate for 30 mins each day and exceeding my active calories burnt of 450 each day.

Still on holiday, but coming home Thursday/Friday Sad, so back to the normal grind. In the meantime, I'll do an early morning gym and swim session and then maybe a wander on the beach tomorrow and Thursday. [sigh] it's gone by too fast.

Well done for all the running, now the clocks have changed and evenings are getting longer, I might try to pick up the running again. Maybe Grin

carrie74 · 26/04/2018 14:08

How's everyone doing? I'm still on target to meet my April challenge of closing all 3 rings every day on my Apple Watch, and I've started doing a little running again now the weather has improved (although that clearly has nothing to do with it as so far I've just run on the treadmill!).

I help organise a 10k race every year locally, and now we're only about 6/7 weeks away, I always get more conscious of my running habits. I did the race once, that was enough! But I think I've always got in the back of my mind whether I should try it again. Likely wouldn't, it's not so helpful when committee members are actually running rather than doing jobs!
