30 Day Shred - Who's doing it? Have you lost weight?

Hi everyone

I have the 30 day shred DVD but have never done it. I've put on a lot of weight recently and feeling awful. I have a holiday in just over 8 weeks and I'm desperate to lose as much as possible in that time. I'm planning healthy meals but though 30 DS might help - I'd love to hear from people who are doing it/have done it. Did you lose weight? How much? How soon did you notice a difference? Please motivate me!

xx

I did my measurements yesterday, level 3 day 3. Waist now 26inches, hips 40. I've got huge hips and thighs (carry the extra stone and half all right there!) so I'm hoping they will slim down day.

Oh tango that sounds horrid- hope you're feeling better?
I don't especially want to do slimfast but I feel like I want to be thinner iyswim. And I can't seem to control myself around real food at the moment. I did it ages ago and didn't feel bad for it which surprised me- IBS didn't feel any different.
I currently weigh around 10st9 but feel better around 10st2- so it's not miles away.
My waist and hips are 33" and 38" and BMI is only just in the healthy category so I just want to be a bit trimmer. But I'm concerned I'm getting a bit obsessed- I can't remember the last time I didn't feel on a diet/guilt around food and I'm fed up.
Sorry for the rant Blush I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin.

Tango if you are at a healthy BMI and just want to be a little slimmer why don't you focus on toning at this point? Level two definitely slims the waist- mine is always fairly small- I'm 5 5 and just under 12 stone with a 28.5 inch waist starting off and now it's 26inches. I have typical hourglass shape though so am hoping so slim down everywhere else.

I'm really trying to not think about weight and aim for toning but it's like my head is brainwashed to think 'must watch every meal' then the inevitable guilt if I don't stick to some sort of guideline.
I suspect it's because I got to 10st a few years ago and got complacent and piled 2st on without even really thinking about it. I lost that for my wedding (18 months ago) and have just put the 7ish pounds back on but I'm worried about letting it slide again.
I used to be more hourglass but these last couple of years my waist has vanished so I hope level two works for me as it has you Smile

In terms of a diet that doesn't feel like a diet, I've just started the No S Diet. Might be worth a look? The idea is that you eat like a thin person and gradually the weight drops off - and I mean gradually, like half a lb a week! I couldn't face another low-carb/fasting/800 calories a day diet, so I'm trying this.

It's really simple:

No Snacks
No Sweets
No Seconds

Except (sometimes) on days starting with S. That includes special days ie birthdays, Christmas etc.

So you eat 3 one-plate meals a day Mon-Fri, and that can be as much as you like, and consist of anything you like. Then at weekends you relax. The relaxing is important to stop you getting fed up.

Thanks cheddar I've read about that before- sounds a bit too good to be true?! I'd be really interested in the results! It sounds easy and so simple but I bet the no sweets is quite tough.
I ran out of time on Friday so today is my third rest day, tomorrow will be a struggle.
Lots of walking over the weekend though so not totally lazy.
How's everyone else doing?

Bumping as just started this (today day 3)

Can I just ask a possible dumb question but do you do the same video (watched off a website j found?!) for 30 days?

I see people have put level 1, 2 etc..is this the parts in the vid or is there more than 1 to follow?!

Hurting today but feel better for it!
