... And this goose ain't planning on being fat. Don't fall off the exercise wagon just because the nights are drawing in. Join us in our adoration - and autumnal exasperation - with Jillian Michaels and her many ass kicking exercise programs.

Oubliette - you expect anyone to remember you with a name like that? Wink

OK, I should be good to restart tomorrow. Today I might have been but had a couple of friends coming for lunch so I had to clean and shop. I think I might go back and do a run-through ripped.

Lambzig · 13/10/2014 19:37

Oubliette, of course we remember you.

Thank you for the flowers and sympathy.

Well I didn't get sacked and managed to put them properly on the back foot where they had to admit it was all their fault, so good result in the short term. I think ultimately I will end up leaving as nothing will change. Find myself strangely disappointed that I am not out of there, but money would be tight. Sigh... I used to love my job before maternity leave.

No exercise for me today, I start phase 2 tomorrow.

ImogenQuy · 14/10/2014 07:10

Congratulations, Lambzig - brilliant outcome.

30Ds L2D6 done. Not very well: my shoulders are killing me at the moment (too many hours at a keyboard) and a couple of the strength moves just hurt too much, particularly the chair squats with a V-fly or whatever she calls them. But I did all the cardio and abs properly.

Maddest, there's a JM workout called Killer Buns and Thighs - I haven't done it but think ErrolTheDragon has.

Ri30L1D1 done. I think I'll do a week of this at each level. Imogen - there's a chair squat/fly type thing in this too, I'm much better with the squat part now but have to drop to small weights for the fly. (I do wish JM would give a bit of a pause between moves to allow for weight swapping - I used everything except my 8kgs today - and may use one of those tomorrow in the second set where you just use one for a couple of things).

Maddest - yes, I did KB&T earlier this summer - I wasn't sure about it to start with but found it really did seem to do something good for my lower half, I'd recommend it.

Lambzig · 14/10/2014 11:11

BodyRev phase 2, week 5, workout 5 first time. Ouch, ouch, ouch on the triceps and shoulders, but nothing I haven't done before I don't think. Managed to get through it all without stopping, even if some of the crab one legged dips were a bit iffy.

ImogenQuy · 15/10/2014 07:00

Killer Abs L2 D7 done. Having said last week that I'd lost 3 lbs, I seem to have put 2 of them back on - I don't know why unless it's that I've been off the bike since Friday because the weather's been so horrible (I cycled home on Thursday and thought I was going to die: there were rivers running down the roads and everyone was driving far too fast for the conditions). Back on the bike this morning unless it starts pouring with rain again.

ShowMe and sometimes, hope the sleep deprivation is easing a bit. DS is now four and sometimes it's hard to get him up in the morning - there is light at the end of the tunnel!

yadahyadah · 15/10/2014 08:14

Body Rev Phase 2 week 7 (again) cardio.

Finally found the willpower to do it again. Glad of it.

Good job its a planned rest day for me today as I can hardly move. Walking between tube platforms this morning was painful.

Imogen, my weight fluctuates at least that much on a daily basis. I think I have lost about 5lb on average in the last month.

Yadah, glad you are back. I was very amused to find out yesterday that Jillian wants me to have sex with the lights on when I am 100. I think I liked the idea of shanking in the car park better than that one.

MaddestOfTheHatters · 15/10/2014 12:51

Thanks Imogen and Errol, I have lined up Killer Buns and Thighs to try later today. Watched a little of it earlier to prep myself and now fully expect to spend some time curled up on the floor later Blush

Body Rev, Phase 2, week 5, day 2, workout 6 done

I had that horrid thing for the first time this morning where you realise every child except DD is invited to a party. It's someone she is really friends with too.

I think it's a mistake as all the mums said the invitation was in a blank envelope, so it must have been a whole class invitation, but they could have been saying that to make me feel better. I hope they are right as otherwise it's an awful thing to do. DD will be so distraught if she finds out.

yadahyadah · 16/10/2014 10:17

Body Rev phase 2 workout ouchy 7 completed - and I managed to do the Errol tactic of getting into workout gear pre drop off and then working out as soon as I returned home. Errol, you are a genius and this is going to really help me stick to my workout irrespective of wake up times etc.

Lambzig try not to get caught up in the schoolyard politics - easier said than done, I know. Just plan a really super day out for the same day and tell your kid that was why she could not attend the party. Then, bestow a guilt inducing homemade card on the friend and hopefully this will get her to ask her mummy why your DD was not invited. Mwah hah hah. I really think The Art of War should be required reading for school mums.

30DS L2D7 done. Shoulders still very achey. I've got today off work so had the luxury of dropping DS off at school and then exercising.

Lambzig, really hope the invitation thing is just a mistake. DS didn't get invited to a lot of parties in nursery - he didn't seem very bothered but I really felt for him, as clearly other children were skipping off to parties every weekend. In our case I suspect it's because DH is a SAHD and other children's mothers felt odd about him coming along, but it's still a crappy way to treat a 3-year-old.

Lambzig · 16/10/2014 12:09

It's horrid. It's just the start of reception so I expect it's a mistake as no one knows each other enough yet to take dislikes. Mums who asked me if DD was going looked mortified, but I faked not being bothered at all. They seem very nice at our school. Takes you straight back to that left out feeling as a child (girls only boarding school survivor here).

30DS L1 D2 finally done!! I got there eventually! Hoping to keep things up tomorrow and over the weekend. I just need to stop stuffing my gut with crisps and chocolate now otherwise it will be a waste of time.
ShowMe, sick bugs are a fear of mine! I don't think I could cope with one now after my food poisoning last week! DS1 is forced to scrub his hands the moment he walks in the door from preschool!
Lamzig, it's harsh when stuff like that happens to our little ones. I remember my DS coming home one day and saying so and so says he doesn't want to be my friend anymore. I had to run in the other room and blub! It breaks your heart!

ImogenQuy · 17/10/2014 06:58

Killer Abs L2D8 done. Thank God it's Friday, that's all I can say.

ShowMe, well done on sticking with it and fingers crossed you miss the sickness bug! Good to see you back sometimes.

Lambzig, fist bump to a fellow survivor of a girls' boarding school!

sometimesyouwin · 17/10/2014 08:52

30DS L1 D3 done! Had a hideous night with my little one last night. Gave up trying to get him back to sleep at 6 this morning and thought sod it, so came downstairs and subjected him to watching me shred. Then DS1 came down and caught me doing side lunges with lateral raises without my weights which he promptly pointed out and said "mummy you need these!" Grin. Exercise done, washed and dressed and lamb joint in the slow cooker all done for 7am so had a positive start to the day Smile

Body Rev phase 2 week 7 workout 8. Boy that was tough. The last circuit gave me upper and lower abdominal stitches. Very uncomfortable but strangely thrilling as it seemed to be the muscles around the caesarean scar that were suddenly responding albeit in shock. This may mean my tummy muscles may be coming back to fully active and crucially engaged life finally. woo hoo. Either that or there is going to be a really gory finale to my JM adoration as my hastily stitched uterus explodes ...

Btw, i had a mad morning and ordinarily would have shelved the workout but for the fact that I had my PE bra on since morning so finally did it when DH went to pick up kids ... amazing.

Body Rev Phase 2, week 5, cardio first time. That stepped it up a bit but managed to get through it all with the exception of the Burpees at the end which I was pathetic at. She achieved her goal of making me nearly vomit though.

Only managed to work out 3 times last week, but am trying to tell myself that 3 is still progress.

MaddestOfTheHatters · 18/10/2014 22:36

KB&T finally started today. Struck down in my prime earlier this week by the first of this years winter bugs. Not sure my legs are ever going to forgive me for that workout though!

So not a great week in all, but here's hoping for a better run of things next week.

OublietteBravo · 19/10/2014 11:55

30DS L1D2 done. A week between day 1 and day 2 is pathetic, but RL got in the way this week (I knew my week was likely to go this way when I started last Sunday, but figured if I made an excuse and left it for another week I might never get back to it). I'm hoping to do better next week.
