Glad to hear it still counts. I'm sure the skipping with joy I've done when taking the forms back to accept dds nursery place helped too!

Great news tabulahrasa

ErrolTheDragon · 11/06/2014 14:58

tab - good news re dog. YY to the 2nd Ri30L2 circuit, its hard on the wrists and the crow pushups are evil. I can't do them properly, of course, but I'm doing something more like they should be than on previous attempts.

I pause throughout my shred/ripped deliberately - I go at it as hard as possible and then pause to recover rather than trying to do it continuously, so its HIIT-style. Takes longer but it suits me.

tabulahrasa · 11/06/2014 15:05

"the crow pushups are evil. I can't do them properly"

I'm nowhere near doing them properly...I mean I'm not even doing the baby on my knees version properly, but hey, I'm trying, lol. That combined with the fact that I can't actually lift my body off the floor to do the ab hold tabley thing is making that bit quite hard going, the relief when I get to the cardio is unreal, lol.

I count it if I pause as long as I do the whole thing, then I've done it - I only didn't count it a couple of days ago because I only got about two thirds of the way through it.

jocastafantastica · 11/06/2014 15:10

30dsl1d3 - completed, feeling better today, still achy and nearly collapsed in the middle but finished feeling good!

trying to follow 16:8 as well, but got ridiculously hungry in the last 30 mins of my eating window last night and managed to snaffle more than I should of.....will take myself off to bed early tonight to avoid temptation.

Lambzig · 11/06/2014 18:52

Tabulah, I wasn't paying attention when I first did those crow push ups and was trying to lift my hand to help my elbow meet my knee, so essentially trying to do a one handed, one-legged push up on one side only. Took me until day 4 and DH asking what I was trying to do, to realise I was an idiot.

tabulahrasa · 11/06/2014 20:04

"so essentially trying to do a one handed, one-legged push up on one side only"

That made me laugh, lots...though I'm pretty impressed that you tried that.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/06/2014 20:13

Grin I think that move would necessitate changing the laws of physics and biology!

Lambzig · 11/06/2014 20:38

Well I was very very frustrated about not being able to do it

ImogenQuy · 12/06/2014 06:57

30DSL3D1 done. I found it demanded less co-ordination than L2 - the only bit I struggled with was the walking plank, where I kept getting my arms and legs out of sequence, whereas with L2 it took me several sessions to get the hang of some of the moves. And it doesn't have any moves that use those anterior muscles that I clearly don't have! I'm still doing very feeble push-ups, though.

This is quite neat timing - if I don't have another rest day, I'll finish the Shred next Friday, and then I can award myself a weekend off before starting RI30 (eek).

ImogenQuy · 12/06/2014 06:58

PS Thanks tabulahrasa - so pleased your dog is on the mend. Hope he gets out today.

yadahyadah · 12/06/2014 08:00

Ri30 L4D2 done. Still feels ok compared to L3. Kids love the theatrical showboating from JM throughout. tabulah hope the dog is on the up now.

Lambzig · 12/06/2014 10:03

snap. RI30 L4D2 done. I think it is easier than L3 in that there is no utterly horrible exercise (poss with the exception of the renegade row push ups) and some are nice (love the jumping jacks with a flick kick), I do think its a killer on the stamina front. I nearly lost it on the second cardio circuit and I feel it keeps the heart rate higher. Maybe it's the heat, I exercise in a really sunny room and it's like a greenhouse.

Lambzig · 12/06/2014 10:04

Oh and yadah, are you snapped in half so that you will never be broken again? It's clear that her, er um........, self esteem has improved in between shred and ripped.

BetterWithCheese · 12/06/2014 10:26

Ri30 L1D2 done. Very, very sweaty today. I quite like the workout but may need to mute Jillian "most people don't even show up in their own lives, blah, blah, blah. It definitely works the hamstrings more than 30DS.

tabulah hope your doggie is doing better.

yadahyadah · 12/06/2014 11:10

Haha Lambzig and Betterwithcheese. My Dd started imitating JM in 7-year-old style with phrases like "you have to show up on time. You are the most important person ever," etc - made I laugh.

Agree Lambzig the second circuit cardio is hardcore but overall the bad bits are interspersed with some nice bits. Or maybe, no we've been broken we are stronger in the places where we were broken ... Err... Confused

Ri30L2D3 done today. Crow push ups are the devil's work. And I cannot for the life of me climb up my leg.

tabulahrasa · 12/06/2014 11:57

Ri30L2D3

I'm hating the whole thing today, I'm tired and achey, but I did it.

I can cope with the psychobabble...it's the trying to bite people that's annoying, it was amusing the first day, now I just want her to stop, lol

My dog is indeed on the up Grin

AnyaKnowIt · 12/06/2014 12:48

30dsl3d5 done, still sweat bloody loads!

yadahyadah · 12/06/2014 12:54

Anyaknowit didn't someone once say sweat is just fat crying? Keeps me going ... Grin

OP posts:
AnyaKnowIt · 12/06/2014 12:57

Ha ha I've never heard that!

Just wish it would stop crying and piss off tbh Grin

tabulahrasa · 12/06/2014 15:37

Fat crying? rofl

Well I suppose that would explain why there's quite so much sweat...

Lambzig · 12/06/2014 20:26

Yadah are you sure you are not JM in disguise?

yadahyadah · 12/06/2014 20:41

Tee hee. I wish. Just for the damn abs ...

Don't like the sound of the motivational stuff on RI30 - will I regret buying it? The Shred isn't too bad (though if I have to see her pointing at Natalie and saying "if you want to look like this, you have to work like that" one more time I may throw something at her: I'm not going to look like Natalie unless she has a potion to make me grow nine inches taller!).

ErrolTheDragon · 12/06/2014 21:05

I only listened to that bit once. DVDs have pause, FF and stop buttons! Grin
