30 min exercise for 30 days - join me?

This is something I'm doing via an initiative at work. The aim is to do 30 min exercise every day for 30 (working) days. Start date is June 2nd - end date is July 11. On a busy day you are allowed to do 3x10 mins or 2x15 mins instead of 1x30 mins. I'm supposed to keep a journal - hence the thread.

I thought it sounded like such a good idea that I wanted to share it. Anyone want to join me?

Lax here yesterday too - home late after a tough day. However I was chuffed to discover this morning I'd lost half a stone in the last week Grin so I was very motivated to get on my exercise bike for another 30 minute stint!

Well done on the extra five minutes. I'm not yet feeling I can push myself harder but I do feel like I get a good workout in my 30 mins for now.

Half a stone in a week is brilliant - well done! I kind of wish I'd thought to weigh/measure myself before I started.

Tonight I completed another 35 mins of circuits. I've now managed 10 exercise sessions since I started on 2nd June, and I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.

The next few days are going to be tricky though. My parents are coming to stay and will need entertaining, plus I'm away on a training course on Monday and Tuesday. I'm not quite sure how exercise will fit in.

I'm certainly going to have a rest day this weekend - probably Sunday. Off for a shower and then maybe a small Wine now...

Well done! We're going away for the w/e so I'm unlikely to get any proper exercise in, but I'll be back on it on Monday!

The weekend kind of passed me by (I think parents require more entertaining than children).

Today didn't start well - my car was almost an hour late (because they got the wrong house number). I've been in a course a day with very few breaks. However I made myself go to the gym between the afternoon session and dinner. I spent 30 mins on the rowing machine.

Hoping to go for a swim tomorrow morning, but will need to be up very early to achieve this.

I managed to make myself get up early and swim before breakfast. I think I managed about 1.5km - difficult to tell in an unfamiliar pool.

Just 30 mins of circuits tonight. Feeling really tired (and had to work until 8.30pm to get instructions to the US before close of business there).

No idea how to fit 30 mins on tomorrow. DD has swim squad before school, and we have several people coming round to eat and watch the England v Uruguay match from 6.30pm (plus I have meetings all say at work as my group head is visiting from the US).

I didn't manage to fit in anything yesterday. Back to 30 mins of circuits in the kitchen this evening. Feeling really tired - it's been a long week. (My sweepstake teams are doing well - I have Columbua and Costa Rica).

Need to fit in some exercise over the weekend . Next week is already looking tricky as DH is away on business from Sunday evening until Thursday evening, so I will either have to exercise at home or take the DC with me.

I managed to make it to the pool today (last chance for a while as DH is about to leave for his training course). It was surprisingly quiet - I got the fast lane to myself for about 30 mins of my swim. I clocked up 60 lengths (~2 km).

Definitely time for lunch - I'm starving!

Well done for your efforts! I completely failed to keep up my regime last week so time to start again tonight Hmm. Everything has been crazy busy here lately.

I can relate to crazy busy - I'm finding it difficult to make time for exercising at the moment.

Today I went back to circuits, but increased the time to 40 mins. I'm feeling a hot and sweaty, so I'm going to treat myself to a ice cream.

I tried an exercise DVD for the first time ever this evening (one of my colleagues lent me the 30 say shred). Actually found it easier than I expected (presumably due to 3 weeks of exercising). I'll be interested to see how much I ache tomorrow...

This evening I took DD and DS swimming - not Presley possible to swim lengths and supervise the kids though. Followed the same exercise DVD once they were in bed (and added some plank exercises afterwards). Definitely ready to eat now!

Presley?! Don't know where that came from! Meant to type really.

30 mins of circuits tonight (and DH is back home - hooray). Also done some plank exercises to counteract the chocolate I ate earlier

Exercise DVD tonight (30 day shred is easier than my usual circuits and I was feeling lazy). Trying to decide whether to rest tomorrow or Sunday. DD is going to a party tomorrow, so I might try and swim then.

Hi proseccoco - nice to have some company!

I had a rest day yesterday because I was feeling lazy tired, and my kit was in the wash (note to self - need to buy another sports bra).

Today I went swimming- 60 lengths (~2km), so back on track again.

It is going to be a very busy week, so not sure how exercising will fit in (2x sports days, DD's school play x2 evenings, 'new boys' evening for DS, social swim with DD's school and DH & DD both have their birthdays this week)

Unexpected rest day yesterday (DS's 'new boy' induction evening too longer than expected and involved Wine).

Just done 39DS (+ some plank exercises to take me past 30 min).

Not my most successful week. Too much going on I. The evenings to fit exercise in.

Managed to fit in 30 mins of circuits between the gymnastics drop off and the PTA social swim this evening, so hopefully back on track.

I'm impressed that you can run 5k - I don't think I could! I went back to prancing around in my kitchen doing circuits for 30 min this evening. May be undoing my good work with ice cream though (but only 2 units of alcohol all week, which I'm pleased with).

Was hoping to make it to the pool, but DC had other ideas. Did manage another 30 mins of circuits though.

It is going to be another busy week - hoping to manage 4 lots of exercise between Mon & Fri.

Exercise DVD this evening. Definitely easier than it was when I first tried it.
