30 min exercise for 30 days - join me?

This is something I'm doing via an initiative at work. The aim is to do 30 min exercise every day for 30 (working) days. Start date is June 2nd - end date is July 11. On a busy day you are allowed to do 3x10 mins or 2x15 mins instead of 1x30 mins. I'm supposed to keep a journal - hence the thread.

I thought it sounded like such a good idea that I wanted to share it. Anyone want to join me?

Really fancied a rest day, but managed to make myself do 30min of prancing around to my exercise DVD. Feeling hot, sweaty and pretty damn impressed with myself!

Day off yesterday (was feeling very tired, so rested). Back to my exercise DVD tonight for a 30 min workout. Feeling very hot and sweaty so off for a shower.

Exercise DVD this evening. Feeling positive about this week (school-based events have slowed down, so should be easier to fit exercise in).

Had a rest day yesterday, but back to circuits this evening. Now off to a friends house to sit in the garden and drink wine watch the World Cup final.

Today is supposed to be the end of my 30 day challenge. I think I've done quite well - I managed 29 lots of 30 mins of exercise. I'll catch up with the missing day over the weekend. I don't think exercising every working day is viable - however, exercising 5 days per week certainly is.

I'm going to try and keep going for another 6 weeks and see how I do.

Circuits tonight - really struggling to fit exercise around everything else at the moment. Still need to eat, sleep and be in the office by 8am tomorrow.

Exercise DVD again tonight (as DH was using the kitchen, so no space for circuits). Think tomorrow will be a rest day - full day at work and then giving a 3hr tutorial in the evening, so can't realistically fit any exercise in.

Exercise DVD this evening. Definitely easier than it was when I first tried it.

Was hoping to make it to the pool, but DC had other ideas. Did manage another 30 mins of circuits though.

It is going to be another busy week - hoping to manage 4 lots of exercise between Mon & Fri.

I'm impressed that you can run 5k - I don't think I could! I went back to prancing around in my kitchen doing circuits for 30 min this evening. May be undoing my good work with ice cream though (but only 2 units of alcohol all week, which I'm pleased with).

Not my most successful week. Too much going on I. The evenings to fit exercise in.

Managed to fit in 30 mins of circuits between the gymnastics drop off and the PTA social swim this evening, so hopefully back on track.

Unexpected rest day yesterday (DS's 'new boy' induction evening too longer than expected and involved Wine).

Just done 39DS (+ some plank exercises to take me past 30 min).

Hi proseccoco - nice to have some company!

I had a rest day yesterday because I was feeling lazy tired, and my kit was in the wash (note to self - need to buy another sports bra).

Today I went swimming- 60 lengths (~2km), so back on track again.

It is going to be a very busy week, so not sure how exercising will fit in (2x sports days, DD's school play x2 evenings, 'new boys' evening for DS, social swim with DD's school and DH & DD both have their birthdays this week)

Exercise DVD tonight (30 day shred is easier than my usual circuits and I was feeling lazy). Trying to decide whether to rest tomorrow or Sunday. DD is going to a party tomorrow, so I might try and swim then.

30 mins of circuits tonight (and DH is back home - hooray). Also done some plank exercises to counteract the chocolate I ate earlier

This evening I took DD and DS swimming - not Presley possible to swim lengths and supervise the kids though. Followed the same exercise DVD once they were in bed (and added some plank exercises afterwards). Definitely ready to eat now!

I tried an exercise DVD for the first time ever this evening (one of my colleagues lent me the 30 say shred). Actually found it easier than I expected (presumably due to 3 weeks of exercising). I'll be interested to see how much I ache tomorrow...

I can relate to crazy busy - I'm finding it difficult to make time for exercising at the moment.

Today I went back to circuits, but increased the time to 40 mins. I'm feeling a hot and sweaty, so I'm going to treat myself to a ice cream.
