Stationary exercise bikes, recommendations?

I want to get an exercise bike to use at home, I have trouble fitting exercise in and feel self conscious exercising in public as I feel like a bit of a whale atm.

I'm planning on using it while watching tv in the evenings when DD is sleeping.

Ideally it would fold up when not in use as I don't have a lot of room, would be sturdy and would not make a lot of noise.

I've seen http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9102648.htm this one which looks quite good and is my sort of price range, but wondering if anyone can recommend anything better?

Do you have a normal bike? If so, then I'd recommend a turbo trainer. Something like this:
www.amazon.co.uk/Powerfly-Folding-Magnetic-Trainer-Workout/dp/B00BCIVB4I/ref=sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1376483792&sr=1-1&keywords=bicycle+turbo+trainer
Takes up less room, isn't noisy and I think is a much more comfortable riding position. You can get workouts on You Tube so it's basically like a Spin class in your living room.

No I don't have a normal bike. Thanks for the youtube tip though!

Hi RiotsNotDiets

have you considered a kettlebell? It is a lot cheaper, is more effective, it will take up less of your time and space, as well as deliver results far better than you could ever see on a stationary bike.

In fact, to start out with and for the first 7 days you would only need 5mins per day doing 20 swings per minute for a total of 100 reps.

Thanks
Leon
