Italian citizenship

Apologies if this is a duplicate thread I'm not sure my first one posted... I'm looking for advice on applying for Italian citizenship, I was born in the UK, British mother, Italian father, they weren't married. Father is on my birth certificate and I have a copy of his. Thanks.

I hope you managed to get your citizenship, I got mine in 2016 and then paid €1,500 for a Lawyer to get my son's citizenship, now my whole family has EU + British. Now approaching 60 my EU passport has become even more important, as we are retiring in the Mediterranean in 2 years time. Being an antipodean originally, I couldn't handle retiring in British weather even after 30 years!! I am sure people out there understand. With my British passport I find it is very limited now in the EU and not as valuable as it once was. I'd advise any British person with any sort of relation to investigate and get your EU passport asap before the rules change, comes in handy for airports/borders, settling in the EU, opening bank accounts, purchasing EU property, schooling, working as a student in the EU etc. You are very limited with a British passport, unless you want to stay in the UK. Thank you for your reply. I've not progressed this as just didn't know where to go. Paying for guidance and progress concerns me as I worry I may be getting dud info. I have an italian half sister who got me our dads birth certificate but from here I don't know where to go.
