My new UK driving licence is pink with the EU stars around the word UK

It says on it 'European Union Model'.

I was expecting a British looking item. When will they switch to a Uk looking one?

I'm sure it will still be valid when they switch over, but just curious when all these sorts of things will change? Do we have blue passports yet?

blue passports have arrived - my grandson has just received his.

I hope they don't change the driving licences too quickly - I will need a new one soon and want to have the old style one.

I still have my paper licence, but I will be seventy next birthday and will need a replacement.

The 'blue' passport is pretty much the same colour as the old 'blue' (i.e. very very dark navy) passports were.

I travelled from France yesterday, and the EU passport gates were still working, but most people were lining up like sheep for the non EU gates. I will keep trying the EU automated gates as long as I have my EU passport. Will my next one just say England and Wales, I wonder?

Well I'll have my pink one for 10 years with my EU stars, so all good I guess.
