I'm not making a song and dance about it. I'm not falling out with anyone over it. I dont want to debate it. I'm just sad about it.

And that's ok.

Anyone else with me?

I'm sad. So very sad.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 31/01/2020 06:21

Sad here as well

Ulysses · 31/01/2020 06:27

I feel genuinely sad too and resigned to having to get on with it and make the best of what seems like shooting ourselves in the foot. It's all madness.

Fridakahlofan · 31/01/2020 06:30

I’m sad. At least things aren’t being rubbed in our faces with big ben etc.

StealthPolarBear · 31/01/2020 06:31

"OrangeLindt

Oh not another Brexit thread! ENOUGH

There are people dying due to this virus"

Isn't our ability to collaborate with the EU on health protection under threat?

redcarbluecar · 31/01/2020 06:31

Well it’s happening now, and how it will work out remains to be seen. I dislike the way it’s come about, the manner of it and the general ugliness of the last four years.

confusedandemployed · 31/01/2020 06:34

I'm very sad. I've kind of given up since the GE but the total pointless, destructive, divisive insanity of the whole thing is incredibly depressing.

smemorata · 31/01/2020 06:35

So sad. Not just that we are leaving but also in the way we have done it. Farage is so crass and a national embarrassment.

Callmecordelia · 31/01/2020 06:38

I'm very, very sad.

SinglePringle · 31/01/2020 06:40

I’m sad about how small we are about to become, economically, socially and physically. I’ve personally benefitted SO much from being part of the EU.

Je suis a Rejoiner.

Alanna1 · 31/01/2020 06:42

I’m sad.

Medicaltextbook · 31/01/2020 06:46

I’m sad too, resigned. Feel a bit like I did day after the result. I remember there was a quiet thread just like this.

I have no escape from England- no EU dual nationality, can’t move to Scotland. Sad

FenellaMaxwell · 31/01/2020 06:50

I’m sad. And I work for the NHS so I am also frightened.

bookworm14 · 31/01/2020 06:53

I’m so sad. We are becoming, smaller, uglier and more insular, and for what? Such a pointless act of self harm.

Strugglingtodomybest · 31/01/2020 06:56

I'm sad too. What a waste of money.

ellesbellesxxx · 31/01/2020 06:56

I am sad. My husband lost his job this week too thanks to Brexit so am also feeling the fear. Really sad that ERASMUS scheme is being scrapped too.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 31/01/2020 06:57

I’m very sad about it. I cannot see the logic or benefit in leaving - no-one has been able to articulate any concrete benefits.

Geography will win out in the end...close cooperation and trade with our nearest neighbours makes sense. This will be seen as a blip over the course of time. Just sad that I’ve had to live through it.

tinytemper66 · 31/01/2020 06:57

I won't be watching Boris et all gloat. The I'm alright Jacks will be smiling etc but I will be sad as I feel I am Welsh, British and European.

Zippy1510 · 31/01/2020 06:58

It’s just so incredibly embarrassing. The whole world is laughing at us.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 31/01/2020 07:05

I don't think the grown ups in the world are laughing. More dumbstruck at the sheer stupidity, and utter crassness of some people. There's nothing at all funny about this and yes, I am very sad.

SimonJT · 31/01/2020 07:09

I’m sad about it, my partner is european and we’re both very worried about what will happen to his residency long term. He applied for his settled status months ago but we’ve heard nothing, he is meant to be going on a few business trips but his company aren’t allowing employees to go abroad for business until they have confirmed settled status as it’s too risky.

Subtractingcalories · 31/01/2020 07:09

I feel very, very sad.

Neolara · 31/01/2020 07:11

Yup. Agreed.

Ohffs66 · 31/01/2020 07:14

I'm sad too. Deborah Meaden's tweet yesterday, and the picture of Brussels all lit up in red white and blue last night made me cry. I'm ashamed to be British right now

XXcstatic · 31/01/2020 07:17

Me too - and worried. Just on Erasmus, though, it isn't being abolished (yet, anyway). The recent vote was against definitively continuing it post-Brexit, not to abolish it. There is still hope.
