Could the US demand UK troops are deployed to the ME as part of a trade deal?

Is that feasible?

Given that India wants visas for trade deals, could the US start putting conditions on us about supplying troops for the inevitable fight that's to come?

Are there any international laws in place to prevent that?

Fortunately we don't have a poodle/war criminal as PM so the answer is no

Trade deals have to be ratified by congress. No amount of sucking upto (or indeed just sucking) Donald Trump can get around that. And US congressional politics are ... interesting.

The presidents powers are very clearly laid out and limited in the Constitution. If people think the UK-US trade deal is the most important thing about Brexit they really need to bone up on it. I imagine the more savvy will have already, but I'm impressed by how little it seems people need to know in order to scry the future.
