What is the story with Boris Johnson and his kids? Superinjunction?

Whowantstogotothepark · 10/12/2019 22:59

Does anyone know the real situation? My theory is that he has a superinjunction out. Not just a normal injunction that can be reported by the press. My guess (as is everyone else's) that he has his children with his ex-wife and at least a couple with other women.

Let me be clear, I do not care about Boris Johnson's children (otherthan they are safe and happy), in the same way I do not care about Jeremy Corbyn's children. (Does he have any?) Note the press only ask Johnson about the number of his kids. It suggests that they know something that can't be reported.

I do care about a prime minister who uses injunctions. This is a form of censorship that is not available to the average citizen and can be used by companies covering up stuff. They aren't just a legal tool for footballers to hide their affairs. It is extremely worrying if we have a PM who actively uses them himself, especially with Brexit coming up and potential deregulation around environmental, food, safety and working laws.

See this link: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8394566/Hyper-injunction-stops-you-talking-to-MP.html

BTW not completely relevant, but I believe the fact Boris Johnson had unpaid parking tickets building up in his car prior to being becoming PM was a sign that he believes rules are only for the plebs and not him.

I think it's mad that the media isn't questioning where Boris's (acknowledged) children are - normally they are all over the PM's family?! They haven't even been in one photo with him since he's been in office.

Although come to think of it, they weren't in the public eye when he was mayor either and that was when he was still with his ex, so maybe it's just their preference that the children aren't in the limelight at all.

lonelyplanetmum · 11/12/2019 10:22

I also keep reading "what's the story with Boris Johnson and his kids? Superinjunction?

As Super- ejaculation.

Little difference I suppose.

MockersFactCheckMN · 11/12/2019 10:24

Johnson moves into number 10 in an adulterous relationship with some one 20 years his junior....

An arrangement not seen since Lloyd-George and Frances Stevenson a century earlier, when everybody looked the other way and pretended not to notice.

lonelyplanetmum · 11/12/2019 10:32

It's the hypocrisy in the voters and the new Tory party that gets me.

Ed Miliband was in a stable de facto marriage to one person.Yet was widely criticised by the press and public for not tying the knot.

Johnson is morally bankrupt. He says no man should restrict himself to one woman. Moves a young mistress into Downing Street before even bothering to divorce .Compares women Olympic athletes to glistening otters.

All this is morally ok with the Tory faithful but Miliband was criticised. So shockingly hypocritical- no wonder the politicians double standards are ok as they reflect the double standards in the electorate.

That is actually hilarious when you think of it isn't it?? Ed Miliband was practically marched down the aisle by the British press.

It must be because the media is predominantly Right-leaning here, they don't focus on any negatives about Boris at all.

I didn't chastise Milliband, I haven't commented on Boris. You are confusing bollox in tabloid headlines and real peoples views.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 11/12/2019 12:54

If tabloid "bollox" didnt inform peoples opinions the likes of murdoch wouldn't spend millions of acquiring news agencies.

And the usual suspects wouldn't cut and paste links from certain news sites.

ListeningQuietly · 11/12/2019 17:35

The Super Injunction was Andrew Marr of the BBC trying to cover up his affair and child ....

EvilPea · 11/12/2019 17:40

Have you seen cassette boys YouTube Boris Johnson video.
It is bloody genius

AiryFairyMum · 11/12/2019 23:14

Did he write the spectator stuff or was it ghost written? Awful either way.

ColonelCathcart · 11/12/2019 23:23

As others have said, if Boris was working class Jeremy Kyle would have told him to put something on the end of it.

ChristaMSieland · 12/12/2019 13:49

Did he write the spectator stuff or was it ghost written?

Do you mean Boris?! He is/was a journalist. That's his profession. Why would you give him the excuse of a ghost writer?

I cannot bear him, but commenting when you don't seem to know anything about him is strange.

I cannot decide whether you are excusing him or condemning him.

Aheraldangel · 12/12/2019 13:57

"So Carrie, what do you find attractive about the extremely wealthy Mr Johnson?" ..... 😂

Theredjellybean · 12/12/2019 13:58

I thought it was his children's choice not to be in public eye?
Can't say I blame them either.

Aheraldangel · 12/12/2019 13:59

It's unbelievable that someone so uncaring is our - current - prime minister. But unfortunately it seems he's untouchable.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/12/2019 14:01

It's eeriely like Trump. Something extraordinary happens or becomes known. Everyone is astounded. 15 minutes later something else happens and everybody forgets about the first thing. Somehow the cumulative effect of all these awful things is not to make people think 'Look at all this he's done! He's lazy, incompetent, reckless, dishonest, can't be trusted'. Instead people have become desensitised.

It really does cause quite a jolt to look back a few short years to the days when Ed Miliband struggling with a bacon sandwich was a huge story that the press suggested brought his competence into doubt.

Rosepetals30 · 12/12/2019 14:03

I’d like to try and get back to thinking about whether he has a super injunction thing going on but.....

nope, can’t get past how ANY of these women found this guy attractive enough to have sex and affairs with either

The mind boggles

Remember that his ex is a barrister who will shred anybody who upsets her or her kids

ChristaMSieland · 12/12/2019 14:23

I thought I remembered that one of his daughters has 'Lettice' as a middle name. That Mirror article confirms it.

I read this morning that one of Carrie's dogs is called Lettice. Curious.

MarySidney · 12/12/2019 14:26

He has said that he won't talk about his children. And nothing wrong with that, imo. They are not public figures, and they are entitled to privacy.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/12/2019 14:35

I have no problem with not seeing pictures of his children, especially not the grinning staged family portraits we've often seen at election time from politicians whose private lives don't bear close examination.

I do have a problem with an MP, never mind Cabinet Minister or Prime Minister, using the law to prevent us knowing about an extramarital affair and resulting pregnancy. If he stands by the behaviour, why can't he be open about it? If he genuinely believes monogamy is no good for men, why doesn't he come out and say it? He has no problem with all sorts of other controversial statements. Or could it be that even Johnson couldn't persuade the Tory Party members that family values no longer matter?

ListeningQuietly · 12/12/2019 14:38

He tried to keep Stephanie MacIntyre a secret but the court overruled him
it was when lots of people (like Andrew Marr) were using the courts to hide the fact that they had broken their marriage vows
the courts allow very few now (see Private Eye for more details)

ajandjjmum · 12/12/2019 14:49

Isn't JC's one son in the process of opening a Cannabis Cafe - supported by his Dad? So he obviously has DC.

ajandjjmum · 12/12/2019 14:54

So...it was a shop and cafe called the National Hemp Service - abbreviated to NHS. But it went into liquidation at the end of November, to the tune of £100,000, due to bad management according to one investor.

Apparently JC was offering them business advice.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 12/12/2019 14:57

I suppose that’s so the children have some privacy, which they are perfectly entitled to.

We don’t discuss other politicians’ children as well.
