First off, comrade Hilda has been busy in the propaganda dept! Praise be to Hilda! The dear leader will appreciate and reward your efforts with a cushy job in the newly opened Ministry of Bullshit. ✊🥀

Specials board.

⭐️ Snacks.

•Salty Bar nuts
(we always have too many)

•Marrow crisps,
I know you all hate them, but we had a glut and needed to do something with them. 🤷🏻‍♀️😬

⭐️ Mains.

A festive choice of...

•’Properly Stuffed’ “Christmas voting” Turkey.

•Festive Glazed Gammons.

•Goose that laid the Gilded socialist egg.

•’Whigs’ in blankets.

•Sauce for the Goose and Sauce for the Gander

•Brussels’ sprouts.
Divisive, yet still popular in some quarters...

•Neeps and tatties.
Grown in Corbyn’s Communist plot and kindly gifted back to us by the SNP.

⭐️Festive Drinks.

•Rebecca’s long Baileys.
Seems nice enough, but can be vicious if you have too much.

•Corbyn’s Victory Gin.
State sanctioned by big brother.

•Bag in, artisan Earl Grey Cocktail.
A Boris election special.

•Red flag Rum.
for the singing socialists among us.

•Egg nog.
Gifted by Trump. Sticks in your throat a bit, but it’s polite to drink it and pretend to half enjoy it anyway.

•The #ClassicDmitri.
Shaken and stirred. A Russian Vodka based Cocktail, shrouded in mystery and intrigue. No one really knows how it came to exist, but all we know is, that it might have happened. Somewhere. And now it’s on the menu. Enjoy!

⭐️Desserts.

•Imported Panettone.
Get it fast, I’m reliably informed we will never ever have it again post Brexit.

•Traditional Christmas pudding.
have a good look for that old fashioned sixpence inside, we might need it when all the money runs out.

•Damson jam steamed pudding.
I’m told by the suppliers, that It’s like the infamous Mumsnet chicken, we can get eleventy billion servings from it and still have more for the freezer.

As always, welcome to all who pass through this place, but, as ever please observe the sign above the bar. If you can’t read it. It says...

DON’T BE A TWAT.

🎄 🌟 🎁 🍸 🥜 🦃 🎅

Should be interesting. I highly doubt he will address the contentious questions, approx 75% of the questions are contentious and if he does, it will be some mealy mouthed excuse. He will have to address self id though. It’s overwhelming as always. Rightly so I may add...he is a scary guy. I do hope someone puts those pics/question up about the ira plaque though!

God that was rambly... sorry! BlushGrin

He'll ignore the questions he doesn't like.

Just like Philip Lee, Penny Mordaunt, Maria Miller...

ajandjjmum · 05/12/2019 19:48

But surely one of his minions would be looking at the question thread tonight, so they've got time to work it out.

Not a criticism of him or MN - but it's what I'd do.

Twattage13 · 05/12/2019 19:59

ajandjjmum I work in this field and yes someone will be going through all the qs and working out the answers. I don't know how much this is actually live but I've done a lot of webchats myself and I doubt he will be doing any typing, he may not even be there (unless he's going to be shown on a webcam). Sorry I'm not familiar with how MN runs these things - do they make the person come onto their premises to do it or is it remote? No politician, or indeed any leader, writes their own comms (usually - apart from Trump and Prince Andrew).

XingMing · 05/12/2019 20:13

Have posted my question for tomorrow, and hope that it sounds innocuous enough to be answered. Fingers crossed. A glass of Wine here please and one for my friends.

Evening all! 🥃WineBrewCake all round!

And a huge high five ✋ to @downtonabby if they are lurking here, for asking JMcD a question I desperately wanted to ask! Wink tbf, there’s a LOT of very uncomfortable questions I would like to ask, but alas. The rules! Grin

Haha @EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit high-five back!

I'll get deleted and maybe even banned but I think it's an absolutely valid question.

He's displayed it in his constituency office, so he clearly thinks it's acceptable.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 05/12/2019 20:50

I would very much hope it doesn’t get deleted! Downtown! It’s a very valid question! I thought my earlier question about Mao and stalin would go, but it’s still standing thank goodness! He really needs to be called to account on these things...

Hmm...I wonder how the other thread would handle that Epic.

Perhaps the same way they handled the "he who shall not be named" rallying call the other night.....just keep their heads in the buckets and pretend they haven't noticed?

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 05/12/2019 21:17

“Hmm...I wonder how the other thread would handle that Epic.”

Not well Greenish, not well I suspect. 😂

Love those two Mail stories Epic

Hugh Grant, the saviour of the left? Surely anyone would be hooting with derision at being told how to vote by him? He's a vile prostitute-using sicko. Although he was excellent as Jeremy Thorpe in A Very English Scandal.

And LOL that Corbyn's Comrades are so swift to point the finger - until they realise that finger is pointing right at their very own Dear Leader Grin

Walkingdeadfangirl · 05/12/2019 21:50

So my usual after work attempt to catch up on today's election news, with 7 days to go.

Corbyn seems to have a whiff of a chance he might be able to form a minority government. But the labour party is aghast at the idea so start shouting, "hey dont forget he still hates Jews".

Fact check: Conservatives still have a double digit lead in the poll of polls and Corbyn is still antisemitic.

In a panic Corbyn pulls more unfunded 'freebies' out of his ass. "20,000 more teachers, a cap on 30 children per class..."

Corbyn says its fully costed just not in our manifesto. He doesn't know where the extra teachers will come from but he will start figuring that out asap. Times Educational supplement say a 30 child cap will mean we need 50,000 more teachers and wont make a jot of difference to outcomes.

In other news, Corbyns E grade in A-level general studies and E grade in A-level Russian history is not helping out. He is blaming his careers teacher for bad advice as he was normally a very bright student.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 05/12/2019 21:56

And a quick look at where the money is going on Oddchecker:

Overall Majority:

Conservative Majority 2/5
No Overall Majority 9/4
Labour Majority 25/1

Which is pretty much identical to a few weeks ago.

Limer · 05/12/2019 22:04

Makes me wonder what freebies will be on offer next week! It'll be "crate of Special Brew & 200 fags" Grin

AutumnRose1 · 05/12/2019 22:04

I’ve been a supporter of Hacked Off and thought Hugh Grant did great work there. Though I’m still not clear why existing laws can’t be used. It seems we have to kick off in order to get anything done. Like the upskirting law, I don’t understand why that wouldn’t be classified as a crime under existing law. I am not a lawyer though.

If Johnson won’t be interviewed, he should at least let viewers watch the cat for 30 mins.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 05/12/2019 22:26

What is with the Hugh Grant thing? He started working with the Lib Dems but immediately fell out with them and has now defected to Corbyn?

What happened?

AutumnRose1 · 05/12/2019 22:33

@Walkingdeadfangirl “ What happened?”

He made a bet with Chuka Umunna?

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 05/12/2019 22:36

“What is with the Hugh Grant thing? He started working with the Lib Dems but immediately fell out with them and has now defected to Corbyn?”

It’s the tried and tested tactical chameleon trick. Wink

None of the above.

He has a new film to promote.
