First off, comrade Hilda has been busy in the propaganda dept! Praise be to Hilda! The dear leader will appreciate and reward your efforts with a cushy job in the newly opened Ministry of Bullshit. ✊🥀

Specials board.

⭐️ Snacks.

•Salty Bar nuts
(we always have too many)

•Marrow crisps,
I know you all hate them, but we had a glut and needed to do something with them. 🤷🏻‍♀️😬

⭐️ Mains.

A festive choice of...

•’Properly Stuffed’ “Christmas voting” Turkey.

•Festive Glazed Gammons.

•Goose that laid the Gilded socialist egg.

•’Whigs’ in blankets.

•Sauce for the Goose and Sauce for the Gander

•Brussels’ sprouts.
Divisive, yet still popular in some quarters...

•Neeps and tatties.
Grown in Corbyn’s Communist plot and kindly gifted back to us by the SNP.

⭐️Festive Drinks.

•Rebecca’s long Baileys.
Seems nice enough, but can be vicious if you have too much.

•Corbyn’s Victory Gin.
State sanctioned by big brother.

•Bag in, artisan Earl Grey Cocktail.
A Boris election special.

•Red flag Rum.
for the singing socialists among us.

•Egg nog.
Gifted by Trump. Sticks in your throat a bit, but it’s polite to drink it and pretend to half enjoy it anyway.

•The #ClassicDmitri.
Shaken and stirred. A Russian Vodka based Cocktail, shrouded in mystery and intrigue. No one really knows how it came to exist, but all we know is, that it might have happened. Somewhere. And now it’s on the menu. Enjoy!

⭐️Desserts.

•Imported Panettone.
Get it fast, I’m reliably informed we will never ever have it again post Brexit.

•Traditional Christmas pudding.
have a good look for that old fashioned sixpence inside, we might need it when all the money runs out.

•Damson jam steamed pudding.
I’m told by the suppliers, that It’s like the infamous Mumsnet chicken, we can get eleventy billion servings from it and still have more for the freezer.

As always, welcome to all who pass through this place, but, as ever please observe the sign above the bar. If you can’t read it. It says...

DON’T BE A TWAT.

“it's the fact that he obviously lied about it”

Ahh ok, have now seen the interview 🤦🏻‍♀️, still though, it’s a bit bonkers. I would honestly rather they stuck to the more important stuff, there’s so much more to challenge him on, rather than wasting time on silliness IYSWIM?

I would much rather hear about his responses re; the Reddit Russian download. Rather than what he does or doesn’t do in his personal time on christmas day if that makes sense?

“unless she does a special run-through for him on Christmas Day morning!”

😂😂😂😂🙏

Take your point completely, but interesting that when pushed, he lies and digs deeper - over something so silly. He insisting that the Queen's Speech at 3 pm is actually a repeat. Prat!

“Take your point completely, but interesting that when pushed, he lies and digs deeper - over something so silly.”

Fair point actually, it does show a propensity to instantly mislead, over the most basic and nonsensical things.

But I thought Magic Grandpa was an allround honest guy? It was just Evil Boris that was a liar?
😉😂 TBF. They are all lying bastards. But! I agree, It is funny to see Saint Corbyn on the block Now, after all the fancy propaganda about his honesty and integrity. 😂😂 Even if it is just about the queens speech 😂

Given Conservatives are still below 2017 I wonder if a further squeeze on the LibDems would actually benefit them rather than Labour in London?

I think the pollsters are interpreting it as Labour votes shifting home again from the LibDems so any further squeeze on the LDs would be bad news for the Conservatives, Howabout.

Something sticks in my brain saying that as long as the LibDems pull in 13% or more, it satisfactorily splits the Remain vote but doesn't give them enough to win many more seats. However, Jo's tweet about the glories of Self ID seems to be driving away what might have been their natural pool of voters, including at least one LD student group.

Epic, it could be worse. So much worse. In Jezza's Brave New World, the Queen might be compelled to sit through HIS seasonal address to the nation...along with the rest of us in the gulag. Marrow cracker, anyone? Grin

I don't think corbyn is innocent or has integrity at all.

Omission is the biggest lie and I think in this way corbyn lies very much.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 04/12/2019 18:09

“I don't think corbyn is innocent or has integrity at all.”

Ditto, it’s a clever web that has been spun to suggest otherwise, but the wheels are fast coming off now!

Singing I agree that's what the pollsters are thinking re the LibDem squeeze, but I am not convinced they are correct in London. 40% of Londoners voted Leave and just like in Scotland there are a lot of Conservative Remainers who might yet hold their nose to avoid Corbyn. It looks odd that the Conservatives are only polling 30%.

Bearbehind · 04/12/2019 18:48

Jeremy Clarkson has pretty much nailed my thoughts here

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 04/12/2019 19:00

Yes Bear! 🐻 ABC! 😂🙌🙌🙌

I can't be sure of the size of the poll sample, Howabout, but yes, it is odd. Support is falling away from the Brexit Party and I would have expected that to migrate to the Conservatives and there's no sign of that.

The only explanation is that there is a larger number of Undecideds this time and they are either concealing their intentions or will only make up their minds between now and a week tomorrow. In which case, I hope this article is right:

https://capx.co/the-tories-are-spending-much-less-than-labour-online-for-a-good-reason

Evening, Bear. Jeremy Clarkson? Argh. But yes, agree.

Bearbehind · 04/12/2019 19:02

I agree with his position on Brexit too!

howabout · 04/12/2019 19:16

Yep received wisdom is that undecideds are all Labour Leavers about to come home and LibDem excess is all Labour Remain. Neither looks entirely plausible.

Hi Bear Wine Completely see where Clarkson is coming from and he is very much in tune with my analysis.

AngelicInnocent · 04/12/2019 20:27

I generally just sit in the corner with my book and listen to the conversation but felt that this one was worth sharing.

Flaming Nora, AngelicInnocent! The New Statesman???

Gobsmacked.

Not so gobsmacked that I'm not willing to get you a large glass of 🍷 while the Landlady is changing a barrel.

You've earned it!

AngelicInnocent · 04/12/2019 21:23

Thank you Lily. It will keep my toes warm on this cold evening.

AutumnRose1 · 04/12/2019 22:26

Hi all
How’s everyone?

I’m trying to do the vote for policies thing but imma have to switch off George Michael because I can’t multitask any more 😂

SingingLily · 04/12/2019 22:30

Hi Autumn, the place is a bit quiet. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The vote for policies thing can be a bit of a shocker so you may have to tear yourself away from the music. Here's a large 🥃 or 🍸 or 🍷 for when you finish it. Let us know how you go on.

GreenishMe · 04/12/2019 22:37

The vote for policies thing can be a bit of a shocker

Definitely this ^^

SingingLily · 04/12/2019 22:41

Have you done it, GreenishMe?

SingingLily · 04/12/2019 22:46

According to The Spectator, formerly-Labour-now-Independent Ivan Lewis has sent out a message to all his constituents in Bury South urging them to vote Conservative. Bury South voted 56% Leave.

In other news, also from The Spectator, The Donald's sudden departure was not so much about Justin Trudeau as a convenient excuse to absent himself from being pulled into UK politics. This would be uncharacteristically tactful of him so who knows. However, as Boris addressed a press conference very soon after DT had gone...

"The bemused international press corps looked a bit baffled by the lurch into domestic electioneering. But at the back of the room, another looming presence looked very pleased indeed. Dominic Cummings had a look on his face that seemed to say ‘no Trump, no problem, job done’.

#ClassicDmitri 🤔😂

Walkingdeadfangirl · 04/12/2019 22:53

Late end to the day for me. Trump has left the building.

I remember Corbyn said he was going to 'ambush' Trump and scream "LEAVE OUR HOSPITALS ALONE you American bastard". Anyone know how that went for him?

SingingLily · 04/12/2019 22:57

Evening, Walking, and a 🍷 for you.

It seems Jezbollah couldn't find The Donald in the crowd. They never got within hailing distance of each other at the reception at Buckingham Palace. Whether that was adroit management by the royal courtiers or whether it's because Jezza couldn't find a lighthouse on a dark night, we'll never know, but it was the Confrontation That Never Happened.
