I'm not promising to be the resident landlady, and I can't even hope to moderate the discussion or offer up great memes etc because I don't know how, but here's opening the next iteration....

First drink is on the house.

“Thinking about it the year I voted SNP in protest at Blair and Iraq they were the same people telling me how morally bankrupt I was.”

Shock
howabout · 26/11/2019 17:30

I kid you not Epic. If we actually Leave the EU then the Left will very very quickly lose interest in it. They will not be campaigning to rejoin and will be blaming the Tories for taking so long to Brexit.

BelleHathor · 26/11/2019 17:33

People have really lost their minds, sense of politeness. It like in vino veritas except without the 🍷🍷🍷. I would feel guilty thinking that about a friend 🤔

SingingLily · 26/11/2019 17:52

And here's a timely article from Ian Acheson, former prison governor, former counter-extremism expert, as well as former COO of the EHRC.

Remember the seven-step plan upthread on how to take over a political party (and a country) from the inside?

Step 7 - Once you are in power, change the law. Then you can do what you like.

Yes...

Hollycatberry · 26/11/2019 18:21

Can only imagine how vile the abuse has been on twitter today towards the Chief Rabbi.

🙌🙌🙌🙌 to Tracy Ann Obermann for standing up to the bullshit.

She will get the ugly momentum pile on now sadly, just like Rachel Riley, Maureen Lipman etc...

howabout · 26/11/2019 18:29

This is a bit long but well worth a read. The problem with Labour's disconnect from its vote base.

"It is not that the working classes have nothing to say about politics; it is that there are no parties to listen to them. For all Corbyn’s rhetoric, this has changed less under his leadership than one might imagine. The first thing he did on becoming leader in 2015 was call for the nationalisation of the railways; by contrast, it took until 2019 to promise to scrap universal credit.

The difference in emphasis is striking given how many working-age households are being driven to the wall by the Tories’ cuts to welfare. In North East Derbyshire I meet a couple who last year endured so many errors on their disability benefits and suffered such hardship that the wife contemplated killing herself."

Well I am looking forward to the Corbyn interview now. Will we see the Corbyn fans on MN towing the line? Least we know what to check for now eh.

Holly, haha, where have we seen that before? It’s not just twitter, Mumsnet is about to get fun! 😱😂

Aibu NHS.
Aibu Waspi Women
Aibu Andrew Neil is a tory tosser.

Etc... (basically more of the same on steroids!)

DustyDiamond · 26/11/2019 19:02

Made it! 🍷🍷🍷

Got a fish supper on the way home & switched into the telly to headgirl Jo's big dangly earrings 😩😩

Ready for Jezza ✊🌹

SingingLily · 26/11/2019 19:02

Holly, screenshots of Twitter abuse sent to the Chief Rabbi are on Guido.

He's in the pay of Mossad.

He only wants to make it easy for Israel to buy arms so it can kill more innocent Palestinian children.

And so on and so forth.

It's vile. And depressingly utterly predictable.

howabout · 26/11/2019 19:02

Hope AFN asks JC if it will be the poor paying for scrapping UC.

It certainly looks that way. There is already a manifesto commitment to scrap the marriage allowance tax transfer. Kinda assuming they get another 5 years of TC and CB freeze and further cuts to Widows benefit and expected to be grateful not to be on UC and headed for the food bank.

GreenishMe · 26/11/2019 19:03

Well I am looking forward to the Corbyn interview now.

He must have had the squits all day after seeing NS last night....stuttering away like a faulty lawn mower for most of the interview.

DustyDiamond · 26/11/2019 19:09

Ooh! Getting tetchy already

SingingLily · 26/11/2019 19:11

Ooh Dusty! Beat me too it. He's also blinking more rapidly and his feet keep, shuffling about.

Go Andrew!!!

Limer · 26/11/2019 19:12

Ooooh, he's lowering his voice and mumbling... not making eye contact... blinking a lot... very shifty-looking.

GreenishMe · 26/11/2019 19:12

No apology

DustyDiamond · 26/11/2019 19:16

His SNIFF pisses me right off 🤮

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 26/11/2019 19:17

What a slimy, angry little cunt.

No wonder the troll army are having an existential crisis.

BelleHathor · 26/11/2019 19:17

Of course no apology😡, the cynic in me thinks they've made the calculation that anti-semitism is alright as there are "only" 200'000 Jews in the UK versus other groups that are traditionally Labour supporting. 🤔

Limer · 26/11/2019 19:18

Not wearing his glasses today, maybe he should be, I don't think he can focus on Andrew (or maybe Andrew's magnificently constructed hairstyle is distracting him)

Hmmmm, he didn't actually say there would be unlimited free movement?

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 26/11/2019 19:18

‘His troll army’

DustyDiamond · 26/11/2019 19:19

He is RIPPING him on the tax thing

DustyDiamond · 26/11/2019 19:19

or maybe Andrew's magnificently constructed hairstyle is distracting him

Actual lol 😂😂😂😂
